It was an exciting weekend at Round 8 of the 2007 WORCS series this past weekend as the www.EvoMx.com sponsored team riders went 1st, 2nd, and 3rd against the fastest off-road racers in the world. Brand new to EvoMx fuel foam, Factory Kawasaki sponsored Nathan Woods used the revolutionary fuel foam for the first time this weekend when he took the overall win ahead of points leader Ryan Hughes and many other top pro racers. Factory KTM sponsored Kurt Caselli placed 2nd overall on the day with the EvoMx fuel foam and to round out the podium was another EvoMx sponsored racer Bobby Bonds. All of these three racers have testified that once using this anti-slosh fuel foam that they would not ride again without it. Everyone at EvoMx is excited about these top racers supporting this new product and the exciting possibilities that the future holds for our dealers, distributors, retail customers. Check back with the www.Evomx.com website this week as the fuel foam has a newly designed cut for easier installation, less than 1 % volume of tank used, and a more universal fit for all model fuel tanks. Please feel free to contact me for any questions.

Travis Tillery Race Report:

Track: Washougal

Event: AMA Pro Am

Weather Conditions: 75deg, nice

Track Conditions: Muddy and slick

Result: 23rd Place 250 Pro

Summary:

What a great trip, first time ever riding/racing at Washougal. The dirt looks great but oh my slippery. I was first practice Friday morning, what a mud fest but lots of fun. They have a section right before the finish line that is a pretty tough rythem section leading into a wicked rough whop section, it looked like you could triple in, so on the third lap I gave it a shot, big mistake in the mud as it turned out. I waded up hard, live and learn. So I only had 3 laps of practice before the gate dropped. I was 32nd out of 43 riders to the first turn and by the second lap I had worked my way into 18th, somewhere around the 31/2 laps in I found myself flying sideways through the banners, dodging trees and people, I was able to save the crash but lost a ton of positions, by the end of moto one I had fallen to 27th place. The second moto came with 5 visits to the toilet about an hour before the gate dropped, I got sick but had no idea why, my start was bad ,second from the last, after my first lap I started throwing up in my helmet and thought I would have to pull off. I then decided to suck it up and try to finish this race, surprisingly I was able to finish in 24th place giving me a 23rd overall finish. After the race my Mom asked me what I ahd to drink and that s when it hit me, I had only drank ‡ a bottle of Gatorade all day so I dehydrated myself. The weather is so cool that I had forgotten to hydrate, in AZ you have a water bottle in hand 24/7, yet again another lesson.

Thank You for the great support

Here's a TransWorld Motocross shout out to our buddy Matty Dowell, who finished 34th in the Motocross class aboard his Big Gun Racing-backed Yamaha YZ450F. An absolute terror in SoCal, expect Dowell to have a much better showing at next week's Glen Helen National. Dowell spends nearly every weekend racing and/or riding at the San Bernardino, California, facility.

This weekend I travel to Somerset,PA for the next round of the GNCC. This will be the first national for me this year. If it is anything like Sunday, I think we will fair pretty well. I finished 3 min in front of 2nd place. I will support you to the fullist.

Rain in the forecast kept some fair weather riders home but the weather and tracked turned out perfect. Just when the track was getting a little dusty a small rain shower came and watered the track just enough. The first moto of the 125 Pro I came out 2nd and it took 3 laps to get past the 1st placed rider in route to victory. The other 3 motos I pulled every holeshot and proceeded to check out and gap the field by 8 seconds. It was nice to pull a clean sweep together!

Next Race:

MDRA race on April 29th at Mountaineer raceway in West Virginia. Mountaineer is a supercross type track mixed with some high speed sections. It was a great day for racing. With their grooming and watering the track got very rutty. Some of the corners had 4 or five lines to choose from. With the help of my Big Gun/VPE/Hotcams engine I was able to pull a hole shot and two second place starts. I finished 5th overall in the 35 + class.

March Race Results for Nick Vitale

The first month went good as far as racing is going. With only having 2 weeks to prepare I am still trying to tune a few things in. March 10th I had great starts and that had a big effect on the race. I was pleased with the way everything was working together. I placed 2nd overall. March 25th in Columbia, MO there my starts were not the greatest. The track was in pretty rough shape but that is no excuse. I have been training harder and hope for better results in the near future.

Travis Tillery Race Report:

Date: 3/25-25/07

Event: AMA Pro-Am

Track: ACP Buckey, AZ

Track Conditions: Mudy, Ruts, and Dirt That You Just Can not Trust

Weather: Scattered Showers then warming on Sunday

Finish: 450A 22nd, Pro Sport 17th

Summary:

My results were a direct reflection of just how much I dislike this track. I do not know why this track and I do not get along but we do not. I crashed in 3 of my 4 motos, only once got to the first turn in better than last place and due to this only earned 4 of the 100 points I need for my AMA Pro lic. So we are headed to Competitive Edge Park this coming weekend and will try to earn a few more points.

Weather Conditions: 90 deg and breezy

Track Conditions: Hard Pack, Greasy

Result: 2nd Place 250 Pro

Summary:

This was my second Pro race but this time I had all week to think about it, this made me a bit more nervous than I thought I would have been. We had a gate of 7, my starts were bad pretty much dead last in each moto. I went 3rd in both moto s giving me a second overall. I felt really tight while racing, I m hoping that next week I can relax myself while trying to earn AMA points at the Pro Am at ACP in Arizona, going in with zero points hoping to come out with 36 of the 100 I need.

Weather Conditions: 90 deg and breezy

Track Conditions: Hard Pack, Greasy, Water Truck Ruts

Result: 38th Place Premier Class, 3rd Place 250 Pro

Summary:

On Saturday I decided to turn Pro and run the 4 stroke Premier class on Sunday. I have not been training for this long of a race but decided to give it a shot. I came of the gate in 40th out of 44 riders and finished the race in 24th. There was no way I could run the second half so I opted to run the second half of our local 250 pro class (5 laps), in that race I finished 2nd. I ran temporary number 143, the picture I sent shows Carter in the background. I think he was in the big crash just after the first turn, in fact I think I used his bike as a jump, sorry Carter.

3/5/2007

Monday, Tuesday and Saturday this week were great training days, Sunday race day, not so good. During morning practice I went over the bars and took a 3 min. dirt nap, that was the end of my day. I should be ready to race next weekend at the 4 stroke nationals being held at Speedworld, AZ.

Matty Dowell managed to come back from a first moto crash to salvage a second in the first moto and when he came from the back in moto two to run down 450 Pro leader Jason Potter, Matty took the overall win ahead of Mike Corder (KTM), Jason Potter (Hon), Tony Amaradio (Hon) and Josh Brown (Hon).

Corder won the first moto, but couldn t put it together in the second moto.

IN THE /125250F CLASSES

Caden Probst took the 125 Beginner class with a 1-1 score ahead of Jacob Igoe, Nick Pollack, Michael Lindsay, Chris Wares, Scott Welch and Chris Redden. Kyle Yarnell won the 125 Junior class with a 2-1. Yarnell beat out 250 Junior winner Bryce Stavron s 1-2. Kevin Micklos went 3-3, while Sean Friday got fourth with a 4-4. Billy Musgrave for a fifth in moto one on a CRF150, but crashed hard in the mini race and had to DNS the second rounds. Dean Wilson swept the 125 Intermediate class ahead of Guidal Buchon, Clayton Peterson and Dustin Peterson. Estonian rider Gert Krestinov won the 125 Pro class.

WHICH BRANDS DOMINATE?

Have you ever wondered what the make-up of bike brands is at a weekly race. In the 22 classes at REM this weekend (not counting the minicycles classes), 43 percent on the riders were on Hondas, 33 percent on Yamahas, 13 percent on Suzukis, 7 percent on Kawasakis and 5 percent on KTMs. Honda was the number one brand in total count at 43 percent, but with the CRF250 they only accounted for 30 percent of the riders in the 250F classes. The 250F classes were equally divided between Yamahas, Hondas and Kawasakis.

And, for the first time ever, half of the minicycle field was made up of Honda CRF150s.

There is no REM race on Saturday December 9, but they return to Glen Helen on December 16th for the Whitney Murphy Memorial race.

The AMA national motocross series closed out this weekend in San Bernardino, California at the infamous Glen Helen MX Park. Even though it is the last race, there can be no backing down with the treacherous track layout and brutally hot weather. Star Racing/Lucas Oil/Tornado Air/NCY/Yamaha all season has put itself on the radar and with a few of our prodigies moving on, we wanted to go out in great fashion.

Moto one started with teammates Sean Collier, Jimmy Albertson, Martin Davalos, and Matt Goerke all nose to tail, holding 12th through 15th. Collier had an agenda of his own though, as he quickly went forward into 7th. Next in line was Albertson 11th, pulling along Davalos and Goerke until just after halfway when some fatigue set in. He slipped back when the pace increased leaving Davalos,15th all by himself and Goerke trailed in 16th. In the closing laps Collier slipped one spot to 8th, Davalos did the opposite going to 14th, Goerke maintained 16th, and Albertson finished 20th.

The opening laps in moto two saw Davalos 4th, Goerke 13th, Collier 17th, and Albertson 19th. Unfortunately, two of the guys days ended on bad note ,Goerke got a rear flat tire, and Albertson took a hard fall all before halfway. Up front Davalos lost a few spots, but continued his brilliance fighting hard to stay in the top ten. Collier was riding like a new man, in eight laps he had made his way to 9th and still there was time to move up. It was not meant to be, as on the last lap his engine would stop, giving him 21st. Davalos kept the team high up with a 9th place.

The overall results worked out to:

Martin Davalos 14-9 = 9th
Sean Collier 7-21 = 14th
Matt Goerke 16-35 = 22nd

The AMA outdoor nationals went far east to Binghamton, New York over the weekend and notched off yet another round. Star Racing/Lucas Oil/Tornado Air/NCY/Yamaha came in with the hopes of continuing its great run of success once again. Bryan Johnson would opt out racing due to a rib injury, but looks likely to return at the next race in two weeks. In his place, we brought on Jimmy Albertson fresh out of the amateur ranks and looking for a breakthrough.

Moto one started out promising with Matt Goerke 4th, Martin Davalos 11th, Sean Collier 17th, and Jimmy Albertson suffering back in 35th due to a crash. Constant front-runner Goerke would not find any forward progression slipping back to 10th. Davalos maintained his position while Collier crept up to the back of his teammate by halfway and put some pressure on, which lead to Davalos crashing his way outside the top twenty. Shortly after Collier to would fall, however Goerke kept it together and climbed into 9th, where he would finish. Collier still salvaged 16th, Davalos came in at 21st just missing national points, and Albertson got his feet wet coming back to 27th.

In moto two all four teammates suffered from poor starts, Goerke 14th, Collier 16th, Albertson 20th, and Davalos 25th. All of the riders moved up; the story though would be crashes because one after another all found the soil making the day less than stellar. When the moto ended Goerke was 16th, Collier 17th, Davalos 18th, and Albertson 35th.

The overall results worked out to:

Matt Goerke 9-16 = 14th
Sean Collier 16-17 = 17th
Martin Davalos 21-18 = 22nd

Summary:

Grid position was assigned by time of entry. Since I did not pre-enter I was sitting on the back of the grid for both classes in the heat race. I had good starts and by the half-way point of the heat races I was out front and checking out. In the main events I sat on the Pole Position and I pulled both holeshots and led every lap. In the MiniMoto I lapped the entire field but the 2nd place rider. It was nice to be back on top and all sponsors were thanked in the awards presentation.

The AMA outdoor national series reached the mid way point over the weekend stopping at the historical Unadilla Valley MX Park. Star Racing/Lucas Oil/Tornado Air/NCY/Yamaha is sitting well in the standings as the top placing privateer Lites team thus far, inspiring our guys to raise the bar

Moto one started with Martin Davalos in 7th, Sean Collier 22nd. Matt Goerke and Bryan Johnson both went down on the first lap damaging their bikes, but remounted only to run into more problems causing them to retire early. Davalos took a liking to the track and finally settled into a pace that would keep him upfront and upright the entire race. On lap twelve of fifteen he still found himself scrapping for a top ten position only to be shuffled down to 11th at the flag. Meanwhile, Collier rode solidly going right threw the pack reaching 12th.

As the gate dropped in moto two Star Racing/Lucas Oil could be found with three of our guys in the top twelve. Again Davalos was highest in 7th, Goerke rebounding in 10th, and Collier lurking in 12th. While Davalos and Goerke established themselves inside the top ten, Collier moved into range, but on lap five he would stall his bike ruining his chances. Lap by lap Davalos kept on charging, in doing so for the first time this season he would put two motos together grabbing 8th spot to put towards his overall. Goerke started and finished in the same position, 10th, which gave him some much-needed points. Collier did restart, however the field had gapped too much distance leaving him back in 24th place.

The overall results worked out to:

Martin Davalos 11-8 = 8th
Matt Goerke 38-10 = 14th
Sean Collier 12-24 = 17th

With six of twelve rounds down, Goerke is 8th in points, Collier is 12th, just three points out of 10th, and Davalos is 20th.

Star Racing thanks our sponsors for helping the team move forward. Star Racing/Lucas Oil/Tornado Air/Yamaha team has been gaining momentum in the early stages of AMA s outdoor national series. With round five going to one of the coveted tracks, Red Bud Track and Trail in Buchanan, Michigan we kept our continuous strive going.

Moto one started on the bad side, Martin Davalos looked to have grabbed a strong start from an outside gate but collided with a few other riders. The result would be him shooting off the track and down hard injuring his shoulder. A few laps into the race, Sean Collier found himself slipping in and out of the top ten. Bryan Johnson and Matt Goerke checked in at 20th, 26th. Goerke made a charge picking up places every lap getting into the 18th spot before running out of time. Our most consistent rider Collier, secured 11th without a lot of happenings and Johnson added a national point to his total getting 20th at races end.

Once again, in moto two there was a first turn pile up and this time it sent Collier to the ground. Goerke was a little better off in 14th, while on lap three though Johnson could not get his bike slowed quick enough blasting into the rider ahead and never recovered. By mid race, Goerke climbed all the way to 9th quite easily and it looked as if he found his spot, unfortunately all that changed quickly as his front tire washed out. Collier made his way to 18th, but there was just too much distance in the end to go any higher. Goerke crossed the line in 24th.

The overall results worked out to:

Sean Collier 11-18 = 14th
Matt Goerke 18-24 = 20th
Bryan Johnson 20-39 = 24th

Another round of the AMA outdoor national series took place over the weekend in Budds Creek, Maryland. Star Racing/Lucas Oil/Tornado Air/Yamahas Matt Goerke, Bryan Johnson, Sean Collier, and Martin Davalos all have had their shining moments race to race although the newcomers were still trying to find speed and consistency.

The start of Sunday s race day would prove to be a true test to the caliber level of Star Racing. As in first practice, all four riders machines took a turn for the worse leaving the riders without track time while the team rallied together tearing everything down in a mad rush. Qualifying sessions closed in, the problem was diagnosed as a bad barrel of gas and the riders were thrown on the starting line just in time to transfer on with exception of Johnson who crashed in the LCQ.

Moto one started exceptionally well considering bad gate picks with Collier 2nd, Davalos 3rd, and Goerke 16th. A few laps in Davalos, with his never settle attitude would again repeat previous instances and go down in a spectacular heap. Meanwhile it was Collier running upfront, comfortable and somewhat checking out until twenty minutes into the moto. Wisely as the heat started to affect his body since he hasn t reached true form because of injuries, Collier didn t want his gallant effort to podium to go to waste and backed it down a notch. Still coming from the rear all the while charging, Goerke at races end claimed 12th. Collier would cross the line 9th capturing his first top ten of the season. Davalos once again walked away luckily and kept circulating at a relatively fast pace coming back to 27th.

At the start of moto two all three Star Racing/Lucas Oil riders were inside the top ten with charts showing for a few laps, Davalos 3rd, Collier 9th, and Goerke 10th . Unfortunately, the same suit followed for Davalos seeing him wow the crowd by getting off. The duo of Collier and Goerke rode in tandem throughout the moto consistently fighting off battles around the top ten. When the checkers flew it was Goerke who netted 9th, and Collier losing one spot on the last lap to finish 11th.

The overall results worked out to:

Sean Collier 9-11 = 9th
Matt Goerke 12-9 = 11th
Martin Davalos 27-34 = 33rd

After four rounds, the team is looking strong with Goerke sitting 8th and Collier 10th in points.

Round two of the AMA outdoor nationals took place on the other side of the country on Memorial weekend in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania at High Point MX track. With the first race out of the way Sean Collier, Matt Goerke, Martin Davalos, and Bryan Johnson of Star Racing/Lucas Oil/Tornado Air/Yamaha knew it was time to step up another level and that is just what transpired.

At the start of moto one two of the boys were up front and two of them were suffering from a poor start. Davalos was back to his old ways grabbing a good start up in eighth and in a few laps had made it into the fifth spot, all the while with Goerke trailing just behind. Misfortune would strike Davalos while in a heated battle though, when he collided with another rider resulting in their bikes being tangled which would end his moto early. Collier charted at 24th on lap one, wasn t wasting anytime making his way through the pack as by halfway he was up to 14th. Further up, Goerke was having a breakthrough ride not caring who he was battling with, and by doing that it shoot him to sixth where he d finish. Collier almost broke the top ten snagging two more spots just before the finish to get 12th. Johnson retired early after catching his foot in a rut and decided it was best to try again in moto two.

Moto two got underway great with three of the Star Racing/Lucas Oil/Yamaha pilots in the top 15. Goerke fifth, Davalos 10th, Collier 15th which showed not one of them were hesitant to run a pace of the major players. As the moto progressed, Goerke was slipping back having his troubles bobbling but still searched for the same balance of speed and comfort that he had in moto one. Davalos was on a mission moving his way into a battle for fifth. Meanwhile Collier was being affected by the humidity, but kept soldiering on staying right at the 15th spot the entire moto. At races end Goerke found his zone in 12th, capturing a top ten overall and Davalos netted sixth happily gaining some momentum.

The overall results worked out to:

Matt Goerke 6-12 = 9th
Martin Davalos 36-6 = 13th
Sean Collier 12-15 = 14th
Bryan Johnson 33-34 = 35th

Star Racing/Lucas Oil/Tornado Air/Yamaha Lites squad consisting of Sean Collier, Matt Goerke, Martin Davalos, and Bryan Johnson all showed up ready to go for the first round of the AMA outdoor nationals at Hangtown MX Park. A summer storm moved into the Northern California area on race day soaking the track on and off throughout the day making conditions that much more difficult.

When moto one got under way, all four of the Yamaha pilots were mired deep in the pack with Johnson 14th, Goerke 17th, Collier 18th, and Davalos 38th after already hitting the ground. Lap by lap the guys went in different directions as Goerke had made a run up towards the top ten, Collier was regrouping from a fall and back to 20th, while Davalos and Johnson fell victim to the muddy conditions sitting back in 30th, 35th. At the conclusion Goerke would pull off a great charge to 12th, Collier soldiered out a 19th, and the Georgia natives finished out of the points after losing their goggles.

In moto two, it was Davalos off to a better start rounding the first lap in 12th place, Johnson 22nd, Collier 29th after tangling with a fallen rider, and moto one front-runner Goerke having his troubles. While Davalos did battle with the big names, Johnson and Collier were riding with sheer determination quickly moving up into the top 20, and Goerke was just trying to make progress to fast and by doing so, he kept crashing. The checkers flew in the moto with Davalos 11th after dabbling inside the top ten, Collier found his way to 14th, Johnson rebounded back up to 18th, Goerke though never managed to find his flow.

The overall results worked out to:

Martin Davalos 35-11 = 16th
Sean Collier 19-14 = 17th
Matt Goerke 12-27 = 18th
Bryan Johnson 32-18 = 23rd

Some unfortunate news has surfaced over the weekend for Star Racing/Lucas Oil/Yamaha by having our lone west coast rider, Sean Collier getting injured. While dialing himself back into supercross, a somewhat looking easy get off turned out to be worse because of taking a handlebar to the ribs. Sean was in extreme discomfort immediately and went in for x-rays. After diagnosis, it was stated as a cracked rib and told to avoid jarring activity. Although the severity of it is not all that bad, he does not want to mess up the upcoming outdoor season goals in place. For this weekends race in Dallas, Texas some of the team s personnel will be on hand to setup the pit area and display the equipment.

The AMA Supercross Series made it s last stop for the east coast riders in Houston, Texas at the all new Reliant stadium this past Saturday. For Martin Davalos, Bryan Johnson, and Matt Goerke of the Star Racing/Lucas Oils/Yamaha satellite team it was their last shot to post a good showing before the Las Vegas shootout. Ý The night started off with Bryan and Matt in heat one, as both riders didn t get the start they were accustomed to outside the top ten. With only six laps to make the main event, the teammates latched on to each other making their way up to seventh and eighth safely putting them in the show. Heat two brought up Martin, who got the power to the ground in third place right away and he stayed there lurking on the leaders to the finish. Once again for the Star Racing/Lucas Oils team put all three riders straight into the main event ahead any other Yamaha supported effort. Ý In the finale it would Davalos getting the best of starts in second place, Goerke in 12th, and Johnson just behind in 15th. On the second lap our young prodigy Davalos, was giving his all to have a chance of stepping on the podium again and threw it away in the whoops sending him out of the race. On the charge, Goerke had gotten up to fifth place and set his sights on fourth. Not having much time on the bike due to his sore shoulder and a little bit misfortune with lappers, the promising talent settled for good result rather than crashing. Meanwhile Bryan had moved inside the top ten, but sliding out in a turn relegated him to 11th. Ý The closing point totals have Martin in 9th, Bryan 12th, Matt 18th, giving the team some satisfaction of having all the guys in the top 20. The series now moves back west for the two remaining races, where we have Sean Collier primed and ready to go in two weeks. Ý Star Racing thanks our committed backers for the help. Yamaha Motor Corp., Lucas Oil, Tornado Air, O Neal gear, Big Gun Exhausts, North County Yamaha, Factory Effex, Vortex sprockets/bars, Dunlop, Wiseco, Smith goggles, Shoei helmets, Lightspeed carbon fiber, Tri Star triple clamps, Polisport plastic, Sidi boots, Regina chains, Ready Filter, Sunline, ARC components, Web Cams, Enzo, JD Built, VP gas, Wirtz holeshot devices, Vortex ignitions, Mechanix Wear, Metaltek stands

3/20/2006

This past weekend the AMA Supercross series rolled into Daytona, Florida for bike week. As always the tracks, not so typical layout proved to be demanding for rider and machine. Martin Davalos and Bryan Johnson, Star Racing/Lucas Oils/Yamaha two riders for the round were looking to keep the status that they had set to date. Ý Just like in previous races, rookie Martin Davalos got off to a quick start establishing himself as the fifth fastest rider in practice. In qualifying race number one, Bryan Johnson put his #256 ride in good position finishing fifth. Heat two brought Marty Mix out against the two title contenders. The headstrong 19-year-old rode in the same grand fashion staying close to the leaders finishing third. Ý The main event saw a reverse of roles in how the training partners usually rounded the first lap. This time it was Johnson acquiring the better start in fifth, closely followed by Davalos in seventh. Both riders were striving to make things click and move forward since the entire class was running near the same lap time. At halfway, Martin fell victim to a bent rear brake pedal sending him to the ground while attempting to jam it into alignment. Meanwhile, Bryan still racing his body into shape held the fifth spot until lap 12. Fatigue set in the closing laps and he was shuffled back to the eighth position where he would finish. Ý For the next round in Orlando, Matt Goerke will return to action after letting his shoulder rest up. Martin is getting over the learning curve in the pro ranks and remains to keep his chin up after two weekends of troubles. Ý Star Racing would like to thank our sponsors for the continued support. Yamaha Motor Corp., Lucas Oil, Tornado Air, O Neal gear, Big Gun Exhausts, North County Yamaha, Factory Effex, Vortex sprockets/bars, Dunlop, Wiseco, Smith goggles, Shoei helmets, Lightspeed carbon fiber, Tri Star triple clamps, Polisport plastic, Sidi boots, Regina chains, Ready Filter, Sunline, ARC components, Web Cams, Enzo, JD Built, VP gas, Wirtz holeshot devices, Vortex ignitions, Mechanix Wear, Metaltek stands

3/6/2006

The ninth round of the AMA Supercross series went down this weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana at the RCA Dome. Star Racing s/Lucas Oil/Yamaha team coming off their breakthrough performance at the previous race was looking for more good things to come. Heat one got off to a good start with Bryan Johnson and Matt Goerke in the top five right from the get go. Bryan Johnson, veteran of the squad bided his time picking one more rider off finishing fourth going straight to the main event. Goerke though was struggling with his painful shoulder injury, but gutted out the six laps getting sixth. Heat two had Martin Davalos, hoping to pick up where he left off in St. Louis. The fast starter rounded the first lap inside the top five and wasn t content on settling in. With all big names ahead of him, the fearless and full of heart Ecuadorian made his way by into the lead early on. Once there, he began to check out putting in lap times faster than he had ran all day. At the end of the qualifier, Marty grabbed his first heat race win and stood on the podium for the second time this season. For the main event, Star Racing would only have two riders as Matt Goerke s shoulder was in to much pain to race. BJ got the best start in sixth and unfortunately, Davalos went down in the first turn. On lap four Bryan washed out sending him to the back of the order, meanwhile Martin had maneuvered his way to tenth. One lap past the halfway mark scrambling to make to make up ground, MD landed on a tuff block bending his shifter under the motor. Both youngsters continued to race only to be able finish 20th and 21st. So the team moves on to the grueling Daytona race knowing there will be more shining to happen. Star Racing would like to express a great thank you to our sponsors. Yamaha Motor Corp., Lucas Oil, Tornado Air, O Neal gear, Big Gun Exhausts, North County Yamaha, Factory Effex, Vortex sprockets/bars, Dunlop, Wiseco, Smith goggles, Shoei helmets, Lightspeed carbon fiber, Tri Star triple clamps, Polisport plastic, Sidi boots, Regina chains, Ready Filter, Sunline, ARC components, Web Cams, Enzo, JD Built, VP gas, Wirtz holeshot devices, Vortex ignitions, Mechanix Wear, Metaltek stands

2/28/2006

The second round of the AMA supercross Lites east series took place in Atlanta, Georgia last Saturday and the Star acing/Lucas Oil/Yamaha team had a groundbreaking night In the first heat race, Matt Goerke grabbed a fifth place start and made quick work of two riders moving into third. He would ride out the six-lap race comfortably transferring to the main event. Heat two had Martin Davalos and Bryan Johnson, the two riders both seized great starts at the front of the field. On lap three, Bryan went down leaving himself to charge through the pack. Meanwhile, Davalos ran up front finishing third. Johnson rallied his way up as far as he could, but missed the final qualifying spot by one. In the last chance qualifier, BJ avoided any confrontations getting third putting all three members of the Star team in the show. The main event started great, Martin and Matt both netted top five starts with Bryan almost last since he had a lousy gate pick. However, Davalos and Goerke settled in with the leaders avoiding some carnage. When two riders went down it put the to rookies into second and third leaving the entire industry and fans searching for who was #577, #53. As the laps ticked by both kids held there own running lap times matching the leader. On lap twelve, Matt Goerke succumbed to the pressure of two of the classes championship contenders relegating him to fifth where he would finish out. In the meantime, Martin Davalos was still racing all alone and beyond nervous. With a half of a lap to go, his good buddy and training partner Davi Milsaps passed him over the triple jump, but saluted Martin with a wave. Marty Mix would go on and finish third in his second supercross. Bryan Johnson came across the line in 14th when it was all done. All of the riders and the team are ecstatic, however we all know it was just one race and are going to strive for similar results. The race will be televised on Speed Channel, next Saturday, March 4th at 6pm eastern. Be sure to catch it! Star Racing would like to thank our sponsors for their gracious support. Yamaha Motor Corp., Lucas Oil, Tornado Air, O Neal gear, Big Gun Exhausts, North County Yamaha, Factory Effex, Vortex sprockets/bars, Dunlop, Wiseco, Smith goggles, Shoei helmets, Lightspeed carbon fiber, Tri Star triple clamps, Polisport plastic, Sidi boots, Regina chains, Ready Filter, Sunline, ARC components, Web Cams, Enzo, JD Built, VP gas, Wirtz holeshot devices, Vortex ignitions, Mechanix Wear, Metaltek stands

2/21/2006

As the AMA Supercross series moved east last weekend to St. Louis, Missouri. It was time for the Star Racing/Lucas Oil team to see how our rookies Martin Davalos, and Matt Goerke would fare. Bryan Johnson back from a broken wrist also was their to test how far he could push himself. For Martin the day got off to a great start setting the eighth fastest time in practice in his first time riding in a stadium. Moving into the day qualifiers, Davalos was beyond nervous. To fix that he nailed the holeshot with Bryan in tow and the training partners motored away finishing one and two. In the very next race Matt Goerke did just the same handily taking the win. Therefore, it was on to the night program to test there speed against the true competition. Matt lined up for heat one and grabbed a fifth place start. Within a half of lap he quickly put his Yamaha up to second position. But it would end abruptly since the track crew prior to the night show had made the whoops taller. Goerke came out of the turn shifted up and then realized that he was in for it ending his race. Heat two had both Martin and Bryan just like earlier in the day. Once again the fast starters rounded the first turn ahead of the field, but just like his teammate Davalos went head over heels in the same section. Bryan acquired the lead for a brief moment but he to would bobble causing a fall. Meanwhile, Martin was on the charge up through the pack and with a couple of turns to go he took over the final transfer position. In the last chance qualifier Goerke put himself in a transfer spot early on, unfortunately though he would be taken out in a heated battle not qualifying. The boys from Georgia didn t get the start in the main event with the both of them outside the top 15. Together they freight trained all the way up to seventh and eighth by the halfway mark. It was short lived as soon after both guys hit the ground at different times. Bryan had a close call when he was getting remounted on the landing of a jump when another rider landed on him but he was ok. Martin put the hammer down passing two riders on the last lap for 11th place. Now with getting their feet wet in the big leagues the kids are settled down and can t wait to for another shot. Big Gun Exhaust Systems launches thier all NEW website featuring the all new EVO product line for 2005!!!

3/29/2005

Big Gun is proud to introduce the best four stroke exhaust systems ever offered! We don t mean to brag but we have taken all of our four stroke experience and knowledge and put everything we could offer into this completely brand new lineup!.

We would like to Introduce the new EVO Series

EVO is short for Evolution-to us this meant to make a change and a statement to be the best you must be first so let us tell you all about the new line!

The New EVO series exhaust systems come standard with state of the art computer mapping technology for maximum power, (no dynos here just real Indy car/Formula one technology) yes the real deal. Rather than moving the power around like the competition we insist on bringing out the weak spots in the power and filling them in and actually adding power across the entire power curve so that we limit your flat or weak spots that a dyno just can t do. This is an industry first. Then we add in beautiful fitting complete and slip on exhaust applications that have an all new look and feel from the EVO R being all .035 lightweight stainless steel with a titanium hard anodized silencer can and billet aluminum silencer bracket to the new euro looking Shiny candy red end cap! Inside this end cap is the equipment to meet and exceed all AMA 102 db rules and an industry first we include the Vortex Quiet insert made from stainless steel to handle whatever you throw at it to meet the 94db state park rules. EVO X is a mild steel version of EVO R but comes with our very high end internal external Ceramic coating that lowers oil temperatures and creates horsepower, never rusts fades chips or peels! Incredible material. EVO Limited is the same as the EVO X except for its flat black look made from a Black Ceramic coating that resists the maximum heat of up to 1800 degrees! This exhaust also has a shiny black powder coated silencer to give you that total Black stealth look! Black is back especially here at Big Gun as we are the first to offer anything of this sort to the public! EVO Mini is the same as the EVO X with and all new look and feel. Don t forget that Big Gun has offered the largest line of mini pipes since their inception and we still do today. EVO Sport Utility is all new from the ground up. We have taken our Motorcross and off-road hats off and designed the most rugged and tough exhaust systems available all at the correct price with all the features that a Sport Utility customer will ever need!

Don t hesitate to call Big Gun today to get more info on this exciting exhaust system line up toll free at 1-800-870-4461!

Thanks for riding!
